If you’re looking to restore the appearance of your smile, Ironside Advanced Dental can help you
When restoring teeth, it’s not about obtaining glaringly-white teeth that people need sunglasses to see. Good cosmetic dentistry will give you beautiful healthy-looking white teeth. When you visit Ironside Advanced Dental in Sydney, Dr Ironside will assess your teeth and gums and prescribe the best treatment for you.
Teeth a little stained? Our teeth whitening treatments can whiten your teeth up to eight shades.
Cracked or chipped teeth? Porcelain veneers can conceal those imperfections and match your natural teeth for a natural-looking appearance.
Damaged tooth? Dental crowns not only strengthen and protect your teeth they also are made from porcelain. This means that they can be colour matched to look like your natural teeth.
Get cosmetic dentistry from a prosthodontist
A prosthodontist is a dentist that has undertaken extra training to specialise in cosmetic dental procedures. All of the restorative and cosmetic treatments at Ironside Advanced Dental are created to match the shade and colour of your natural teeth.
Depending on your oral condition Dr Ironside may recommend two or more treatments for the best results. For example, you may need a dental crown and porcelain veneers: or dental implants and teeth whitening.
A smile makeover: a collection of treatments to restore and enhance your teeth
Sometimes you may need multiple treatments for the best results. This is known as a smile makeover. Treatments used as part of a smile makeover include:
- Teeth whitening
At our Sydney practice, we use ZOOM! Tooth Whitening. This in-office treatment takes around an hour to perform and can whiten your teeth up to eight shades.
- Porcelain veneers
These are ultra-thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth. The porcelain is colour-matched to your teeth and is stain resistant. Generally, porcelain veneers last ten years before they need to be replaced.
- Dental implants
Dental implants are biocompatible screws that are surgically placed in your jaw. Dental implants mimic your tooth root and provide stability to your jaw and bite. Once the jawbone has healed around the implant, an implant crown is attached to the implant for a whole-tooth replacement.
- Dental crowns
A dental crown is a porcelain cap that is placed over a damaged or weak tooth. Typically, a dental crown can last up to 10-15 years before it needs to be replaced.
Cosmetic dentistry and your smile
Restoring and repairing your smile actually can have oral health benefits. Replacing a missing tooth ensures continued jawbone stability and bite. Dental crowns can protect a tooth from needing to be extracted.
